Vacation Bible School
Groups from around the country come to teach Vacation Bible School (VBS) in Navajoland.
Navajo Ministries facilitates these VBS programs connecting the groups with Navajo churches. Eventually, the Navajo congregations can conduct their own VBS programs.
Do you feel led to do God’s work in the mission field, but want to ‘get your feet wet’ with a short-term trip first? Are you a youth group leader wanting to give your kids the opportunity to serve others during the summer?
Navajo Ministries welcomes individuals and groups to come volunteer or serve on short-term summer Vacation Bible School ministry teams. While here, you will experience the day-to-day life of missions work, either on-site at the Ministry or off-site at VBS locations. Work groups are also welcome to come out and lend a hand.
Summer VBS groups and work groups need to make arrangements through Jim Baker at Baker@NavajoMinistries.org.
Simply e-mail Jim Baker and you will receive dates available for next year. We ask that groups limit themselves to no more than 10-12, and minimum age requirements are 15 years of age (younger children are welcome if accompanied by their parents or legal guardians). We usually have on-site housing available and request $8 per day, per person to help offset the room and boarding costs while here.
