The Navajo

The Navajos first migrated to the Southwest around the 15th century. Today there are over 250,000 Navajos who live both in and out of the Navajo Nation.

The Navajo Nation today occupies parts of Arizona, Utah and New Mexico.

Although most Navajo’s primary language is English, the Navajo language is still an essential part of preserving the Navajo culture. Navajo economics rely on traditional means including sheep herding, weaving, silversmith trade and art trading.
